After his medical studies in Leiden, plastic surgeon Dennis Goossens worked in America for several years, where he was involved in setting up a plastic surgery research laboratory. Multiple scientific publications in leading journals are the result of this. He completed general surgical training at the Bronovo Hospital and the Leyenburg Hospital in The Hague. Subsequently, he trained to become a plastic surgeon in Nijmegen.
