Femke Mathot is a plastic surgeon. After a research fellowship at the Mayo Clinic (Minnesota, USA), she received her PhD on September 10, 2021, with her dissertation: 'mesenchymal stem cells in peripheral nerve repair - strain every nerve'. She completed her training as a plastic surgeon at Radboudumc (Nijmegen) and the Jeroen Bosch Hospital (Den Bosch). During her training, she became proficient in the full scope of plastic surgery. Currently, she is working as a plastic surgeon at the Albert Schweitzer hospital where she performs both reconstructive surgery (including after breast cancer and facial skin cancer), hand surgery, and cosmetic surgery.

Femke Mathot is affiliated with the NVPC and NVEPC. In April 2024, she obtained the title of fellow of EBOPRAS (European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery).
