Who performs the treatment, and is the person qualified?

At Doctors At Soap, all filler treatments are performed by registered, BIG-qualified doctors. Our doctors are affiliated with the KNMG and the NVCG (Dutch Association for Cosmetic Medicine) and work according to the guidelines of the IGJ. We find it important that you know who is standing before you: experienced, qualified, and specialized in cosmetic medicine.

When do you choose fillers, and when botox?

Botox and fillers work in different ways. Botox relaxes the facial muscles and is intended for lines caused by movement, such as frown lines or crow's feet. Fillers, on the other hand, restore volume to areas where it has disappeared over the years, or subtly balance facial contours. Sometimes a combination of both is the right choice. During the consultation we will honestly discuss what best suits your needs.

Which brand of filler do we use

We only work with Restylane from Galderma, a hyaluronic acid filler with a long track record and extensive scientific research. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body, making the treatment safe and well-tolerated. Moreover, Restylane is completely reversible with hyaluronidase, should it ever be necessary.

What are the possible side effects

After a filler treatment, you may experience temporary redness, swelling, or a bruise at the injection site. This usually disappears within a few days. Rare, more severe complications such as vascular occlusion can occur, which is why we only work with trained doctors who know how to recognize and treat these.

How long does the result last

The duration of the result varies per person and per treatment area. On average, fillers remain visible for six to eighteen months. Factors such as metabolism, lifestyle, and the chosen area play a role. For a first treatment, we often recommend a follow-up after two weeks to evaluate the result.

What does a filler treatment cost

The price of a filler treatment depends on the area and the amount of product needed. During the free consultation we discuss what your wishes are and provide an honest estimate of what is suitable and achievable. You will never pay more than necessary with us.

How does the treatment proceed

We always start with a detailed consultation so we fully understand what your wishes are. The treatment itself usually takes fifteen to thirty minutes. We use a fine needle and a numbing cream to ensure that it is comfortable. You can go home right after the treatment.
