SMALL DETAILS, SOFT RESULTS
Bunny lines Botox
Small lines on the bridge of your nose that appear as soon as you smile or scrunch your nose, the well known bunny lines, mainly catch your own eye in the mirror. A targeted Botox injection in the nasalis softens that movement, without your face feeling stiff. Not sure if it suits you? Discuss it during a free consult with one of our doctors.

HOW IT WORKS
What causes bunny lines?
Bunny lines come from the nasalis, the muscle running over the bridge of your nose that tenses as soon as you smile, scrunch your nose or squeeze your eyes shut. For some clients the lines also stay visible when the face is at rest.
A Botox injection reduces the strength of the nasalis just enough to keep the skin above it smooth, while smiling and scrunching your nose still feel completely normal.
Do you also pull your brows together when frowning? Then a combination with Botox for the frown is often a logical addition for a calmer overall look.
Why do bunny lines sometimes become more visible?
Recently had your frown or crow's feet treated with Botox? Then your bunny lines may suddenly stand out more. That's not because something went wrong in that treatment, but because the nasalis starts moving more once the muscles around it become calmer.
Our doctors take this into account when creating your treatment plan: if the frown or the area around your eyes has already been treated, we specifically check whether the nasalis needs attention too.
Is a bunny lines treatment right for you?
Visible lines when smiling or scrunching your nose. You mainly notice them with expressions, although for some people they can stay a little at rest too.
You want a subtle correction, not a total makeover. Bunny lines are a small, specific area, and the treatment matches: targeted and limited in scope.
You already have experience with Botox in another zone. Many clients combine bunny lines with, for example, forehead Botox for a calmer overall look.
Not sure whether bunny lines are the right focus, or whether another zone deserves attention first? Simply discuss it during your free consult.
What happens during your appointment?
Consult. You discuss with the doctor exactly where the lines are and how pronounced they are when you smile.
The injections. With a fine needle a small amount of Botox goes beside your nose, usually done in a few minutes.
Aftercare. You can carry on with the rest of your day. In the first hours, make sure you don't rub or massage the injection site.

SEE THE CHANGE
Result and recovery
The lines become noticeably softer within a few days, with the full result after about two weeks. With bunny lines you mainly notice that the skin around your nose stays calmer when you smile broadly.
Recovery is minimal: you can carry on with whatever you had planned. The effect in this zone often lasts a little shorter than with a larger muscle, so count on about three months before a follow up appointment makes sense.
Downsides and risks
Mild, temporary reaction at the injection site. A small bump or slight redness right beside your nose can stay for a while, and is usually gone within a day.
Subtle effect, no makeover. Treating bunny lines is a targeted detail correction: don't expect changes to the rest of your face.
The effect isn't permanent. As soon as the Botox wears off, the muscle movement, and so the lines, slowly return. Most clients plan a new appointment as soon as they notice.

CLEAR PRICES, NO SURPRISES
What a bunny lines treatment costs
The price depends on how many units of Botox are needed to keep the effect subtle, and whether you combine it with a zone such as gummy smile Botox. You get a more precise estimate after your free consult, once the doctor has seen your expressions.
