What is a surgical lip lift?
As we age, the distance between the nose and the upper lip can become longer and the upper lip may appear thinner. A surgical lip lift is a minor procedure that reduces this distance, lifts the upper lip, and makes the lips look fuller and more youthful, without fillers.
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and takes about 30 to 45 minutes. The surgeon removes a small strip of skin just under the nose, causing the upper lip to be lifted and giving the lips a fuller and more youthful appearance. The scar falls in the natural crease between the nose and lip and is barely visible after recovery.
