Smooth out crow's feet with Botox

Crow's feet are the fine, fan shaped lines at the outer corners of your eyes, which mainly show when you smile or squint. With Botox our doctors at Soap relax the ring muscle around your eye, so the lines soften without your smile feeling different.

SMART SCIENCE

What exactly are crow's feet?

Crow's feet are the narrow, fan shaped lines that form in the skin at the outer corners of the eyes. The name refers to the shape, which resembles the footprint of a crow.

You mainly see crow's feet with facial expressions: when smiling, squinting against bright light or frowning. At first they're barely visible at rest, but as your skin becomes less elastic they stay a little visible without movement too.

At Soap we treat crow's feet with Botox, also known as botulinum toxin type A. It temporarily relaxes the small ring muscle around your eye, so the lines become softer.

Philosophy-3

Our philosophy

Stay fresh and natural thanks to our No Trace Face® technique

At Soap, we find it super important to treat you in such a way that you look fresher, more rested, and a touch younger, but never treated. That's why all our experts work according to the No Trace Face® techniques we developed.

WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN

How do crow's feet develop?

Crow's feet develop through a combination of factors. Repeated muscle movement around your eye, such as smiling and squinting, keeps creating the same small fold in the skin. Over time that fold becomes a permanent line.

Skin ageing also plays a big role. As you get older, your skin produces less collagen and elastin, so the skin around your eyes, which is naturally thinner, becomes less resilient.

Sunlight speeds up this process considerably: many people get crow's feet sooner on the side most exposed to sun, for example while driving. Genetics and skin type play a part too.

IS IT FOR YOU?

Who is Botox for crow's feet suitable?

Botox for crow's feet works best on dynamic lines: lines that mainly show when smiling or squinting, and still largely disappear at rest. Wondering if this applies to your situation? Our doctors are happy to discuss it during a free consult.

  • Your crow's feet mainly show when smiling, squinting or frowning.

  • You want a subtle, natural result without your smile feeling 'different'.

  • You prefer a temporary, reversible solution over a permanent procedure.

  • Are your lines clearly visible at rest too? Then our doctors discuss whether an additional approach, for example focused on skin quality, is wiser.

WHAT TO EXPECT

How our doctors treat your crow's feet

A Botox treatment for crow's feet at Soap always starts with a free consult. One of our doctors looks at the corners of your eyes and your expressions, and creates a tailored treatment plan.

The treatment itself usually takes just a few minutes. With a fine needle we place small amounts of Botox at the outer corner of the eye, exactly where the ring muscle causes the lines.

You often see the first effects after a few days, and the full result is visible after about 2 weeks. On average the effect lasts 3 to 4 months, after which you can repeat the treatment.

A mini treatment at Soap starts from €95. See the full crow's feet treatment for all options.

YOUR FACE, YOUR GOALS

Combine with other lines?

Many clients combine crow's feet with a treatment for their frown line, because both zones often move together with facial expressions. Read more about our frown line treatment.

Also bothered by excessive sweating, for example around your forehead? Botox can be an option for that too: discuss it in your free consult, or read more about Botox for excessive sweating.

Had a great experience with Laura for my underarm botulinum toxin treatment. She was friendly, professional and made me feel completely at ease from the start. She explained everything clearly and answered all my questions, which I really appreciated. The treatment itself was quick and comfortable.

"Very well helped by Dr. Joost Govaert. I clench my jaws and the botulinum toxin helps a lot against that. He advised trying a few more units. So far, that is certainly the case. I am very satisfied."
