The Best In Beauty

Baby Botox

Baby Botox is a subtle form of Botox that uses a lower dose for a natural and refined result. It's popular with people trying Botox for the first time, or who want to treat early lines preventively. During the free consult our doctor decides with you which dose best suits your expressions.

SMART SCIENCE

What is baby Botox?

Baby Botox uses the same botulinum toxin as a regular Botox treatment, just in a smaller amount. The muscle isn't fully stilled, just calmed a little, so your expressions stay intact while the skin above feels smoother.

It's most often requested for crow's feet and the frown, the two zones where a subtle result is valued most.

That little bit less makes all the difference: enough to soften lines, not so much that your face feels different from what you're used to.

How much less Botox is baby Botox really?

“Baby Botox” isn't a fixed term with a set dose, and in the industry the meaning differs per clinic. One place means a little product in a single area, another a lower dose across a whole zone.

At Soap the doctor decides the exact amount during the free consult, based on your expressions, muscle strength and what you want to achieve. Usually that's around half of what's used in a standard zone.

So you know beforehand not just that it's “less”, but also why and how much less in your situation.

Who is baby Botox suitable for?

  • You're trying Botox for the first time and want to experience how it feels before choosing a full dose.

  • You see early lines that only show with expressions, and want to prevent them from deepening.

  • You value maximum expression, for example for work on camera or on stage, and want no risk of a frozen face at all.

Want to do something about lines on the bridge of your nose too? Then Botox for bunny lines is often a logical addition, as that zone also lends itself well to a low dose.

How the treatment works at Soap

  1. Consult. You discuss your wishes with the doctor, who assesses your expressions and advises a low dose that suits you.

  2. The treatment. A few fine injections at the agreed points, virtually painless and done within minutes.

  3. The result. The effect builds gradually, with a subtle but visible result after about two weeks.

SEE THE CHANGE

Before and after: what can you expect?

The first changes are usually visible within 3 to 7 days, with the full result after about two weeks. Because less product is used, the final result looks more subtle than with a regular Botox treatment, which is exactly the point of baby Botox.

It also lasts shorter: count on about 2 to 4 months, compared to 3 to 6 months with a full dose. Want to keep the effect? Then plan your next appointment a little sooner.

Downsides and risks

  • Mild, temporary side effects. A small red spot or pressure at the injection site can occur, and usually fades within a day.

  • Shorter effect than regular Botox. Due to the lower dose the result lasts less long, 2 to 4 months on average.

  • More subtle result. If you want a maximum effect on deep lines, a full dose is the better choice.

CLEAR PRICES, NO SURPRISES

What does baby Botox cost?

Because less product is needed than for a full zone, the price of baby Botox is often a little lower. Exactly how much depends on the zone and dose the doctor advises during the consult.
