Weight loss medication is medication that can support weight loss. The weight loss medication we work with at SOAP is prescription only and is only prescribed when a doctor considers it medically responsible and appropriate.

The medication can affect your appetite and feeling of fullness. As a result you may feel less hungry and eat smaller portions. It's not a quick fix or a replacement for a healthy lifestyle. Within our Medical Weight Loss programme we combine medication with medical guidance, body measurements and advice on nutrition, exercise and daily habits.

With us, losing weight with medication therefore means:

• First a personal medical assessment.

• Medication only if a doctor considers it appropriate.

• Guidance from a doctor and lifestyle coach.

• Fixed moments where we evaluate your progress.

• Attention to a result you can also sustain in the longer term.

The lowest price doesn't determine which medicine is suitable. The doctor first assesses whether medication suits your situation and which medicine can responsibly be prescribed. Sometimes the outcome of the assessment can also be that a different treatment plan or no medication suits you better.

When are you eligible for weight loss medication?

IS IT FOR YOU?

Our Medical Weight Loss programme is intended for people with a BMI from 27. That doesn't mean you're automatically eligible for medication from this BMI.

During the free consult our doctor looks at, among other things:

• Your BMI and body composition.

• Your health and medical history.

• Medication you already use.

• Your previous attempts to lose weight.

• Your personal goals and expectations.

• Possible risks and reasons why medication may not be suitable.

For weight management, Mounjaro is registered for adults with a BMI of 30 or higher, or with a BMI from 27 to under 30 and at least one weight related condition. The SOAP programme is generally available from a BMI of 27, but the doctor always decides whether a specific medicine suits you.

Weight loss medication isn't intended for losing a few kilos for purely cosmetic reasons. Do you have diabetes? Then the guidance for medical weight loss belongs with your GP or internist.

How losing weight with medication works at SOAP

YOUR SOAP PLAN

1. Intake with the doctor and lifestyle coach

You start with a 30 minute intake. We discuss your health, medical history, goals and expectations. We also do an InBody baseline measurement and assess whether medication may be appropriate.

2. Coaching & Weigh In after about three weeks

After about three weeks there's a personal Coaching & Weigh In. We discuss how the first weeks went, answer your questions and evaluate any side effects. We also repeat the InBody measurement. Based on the medical assessment your treatment plan or dose can be adjusted.

3. Medical evaluation after about 3.5 months

After about three and a half months the doctor discusses your progress. We assess whether the medication and prescribed dose are still suitable and look together at the next steps of your programme.

4. Periodic guidance when continuing

During Continue Your Program we discuss your progress, medication, dose and follow up plan. You can continue with medication and, if you need it, additional lifestyle coaching.

The costs of weight loss medication depend on the medicine and dose our doctor prescribes.

All amounts apply per month and per prescribed dose. The price includes the prescribed medication and the medical guidance that belongs to your treatment programme.

The first Medical Weight Loss consult costs €0. An additional 30 minute Coaching & Weigh In costs €50 and an appointment for Continue Your Program is published at €0.
