The result of eyelid surgery
An eyelid surgery removes excess skin, and where needed fatty tissue, from your upper or lower eyelids. What that gives you differs per eyelid:
Upper eyelid: in upper eyelid surgery the surgeon removes the excess skin. The stitch falls exactly in the natural crease of your eyelid. The result: an open look without a tired appearance.
Lower eyelid: in lower eyelid surgery excess tissue or fat is removed or repositioned. Eye bags, dark circles and excess skin are reduced, for a rested, fresh look.

WHAT TO EXPECT
From the first day to the final result
Right after the procedure the final result is usually not visible yet. The skin and the underlying tissue need time and the swelling has to go down first. The recovery after eyelid surgery goes like this:
The day itself. You go home the same day. You only rest that day, the day after you can do everything again.
After about seven days. We remove the stitches and assess the scar.
After about six months. The skin has almost fully recovered and the scars are barely visible.
Every body heals differently. During the consult the surgeon discusses what is achievable in your situation.

Which correction suits you depends on where the tiredness is. The prices:
Upper eyelid surgery (€999): for drooping upper eyelids, excess skin above your eyes or a heavy, pressing feeling.
Lower eyelid surgery (€2,899): for eye bags, dark circles or excess skin under your eyes.
Upper and lower in one go (€3,499): both eyelids in the same procedure.

Your eyelid surgery starts with a good look
You do not need to choose beforehand. During a free intake of 15 to 30 minutes the surgeon examines whether your complaints come from excess skin or from something else, and takes photos of your eyelids.
Sometimes a surgical brow lift or a ptosis correction turns out to suit you better. You hear that honestly and without pressure.
